The History of Kava
Kava, also known as Piper methysticum, is a tropical plant native to the South Pacific islands — including Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, and Hawaii — where it has been used for over 3,000 years. The name “kava” comes from the Polynesian word for “bitter,” reflecting its earthy flavor and deep cultural roots.
